Our Impact:

This program conducts risk-based, independent testing across the Enterprise to assess Freddie Mac’s compliance risk management activities.

Your Impact:

You will play an impactful role on the second line of defense (2LOD) Compliance Testing (CT) team by conducting testing to support assessments of the adequacy and effectiveness of controls in place to mitigate Freddie Mac’s risk of non-compliance with Obligations. The results of your work will be reported to Senior Management and the Board of Directors and its applicable Committees.

Execution of CT framework

  • Conduct planning work which includes gaining an understanding of key regulatory requirements to be tested, assessing the documented control environment in relation to those requirements, and drafting test plans for Manager review
  • Complete testing, which may include procedures to assess design and/or operating effectiveness of controls, and/or identify instances of actual non-compliance with Obligations.
  • Summarize testing results and prepare concise reports with sufficient detail that would help stakeholders to understand any issues noted and determine the appropriate action plans to address the issue.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related study; advanced degree (Master’s Degree, MBA, JD) is a plus
  • 5+ years of overall experience in internal audit/control testing, public accounting, or other relevant experience with processes and control testing.
  • Understanding of processes and controls in one or more of the following areas is ideal but not required: Investments and Capital Markets, Securitization, and Information Technology
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Working knowledge of SEC rules and regulations and of Freddie Mac’s business areas and/or the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) is helpful
  • CIA/CISA Certifications are a plus

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $96,000 – $144,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
