Overview

Arts & Science is seeking a talented Program Administrator to join the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS). This individual will provide administrative support to the center. Support office operations through fiscal oversight, office management, information and reporting systems, and personnel administration. Administer budgets, including the operating budget, grants, student and research accounts, and faculty research funds. Develop and implement policies and procedures in addition to overseeing data collection, reporting, and processing graduate assistant and faculty documents. Support the Director with administrative aspects of course scheduling and staffing. Manage the Foreign Language and Area Studies Scholarship (FLAS). Liaise with NYU faculty, staff, students, and administrators, as well as institutional partners and visitors.

Responsibilities

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree

Required Experience:
3+ years relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education, including experience in includes budget administration.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and web-based applications.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Oral and written proficiency in Portuguese, Spanish, or another relevant language of the region.

Qualifications

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $75,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
