RTI: Corporate Strategy Manager -Washington DC

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

As a Corporate Strategy Manager, you’ll be a trusted advisor to RTI’s C-Suite and Business Unit leaders, navigating diverse subject matter and designing solutions, all while collaborating with a brilliant team on high-stakes projects.

Responsibilities

Analysis & Analytical Thinking
• Uncover hidden patterns in data to identify key opportunities for growth, like a detective on a business case.
• Become an industry expert, staying ahead of the curve on emerging trends and disruptive technologies.
• Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and creates reports to support projects.
• Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve key project issues.

 

Logical Narrative Structuring & Communications
• Craft compelling narratives to present your strategic vision to senior executives, turning complex analyses into captivating stories.
• Regularly present results and updates to project team, effectively communicating strategies and tactics through verbal and written formats to create buy-in and support.

 

Stakeholder Facilitation & Relationship Management
• Facilitate project and strategic planning workshops with cross-functional stakeholders as part of strategic planning and project efforts; lead brainstorming sessions, sparking creative solutions to tough business dilemmas.
• Manage engagement and day-to-day relationships with business unit stakeholders.

 

Project Management & Delivery
• Manage project-related timelines and deliverables, exhibiting strong project management skills.
• Deliver on strategy projects that are part of RTI’s enterprise strategy, demonstrating ability to identify key questions the project is solving for, conduct market analysis, develop project hypotheses, tests solutions, and produce deliverables.
• Execute on project deliverables, including synthesizing the strategic, financial, and operational implications of analyses.
• Collaborate with business units to design action plans, ensuring their strategy translates into tangible implementation plans.

 

Strategic Planning
• Support enterprise and business unit -level strategic planning efforts.
• Learn and demonstrate knowledge of RTI’s core research business units.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business units – supporting them in developing strategy and addressing operational challenges.

Qualifications

Job Requirements are a combination of qualifications and related experience.

 

• Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of management consulting experience or
MBA and 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• (Preferred) Using Gen AI to support deliverables / is a “digital native” with great analytical skills
• Superior skills in using Microsoft products including PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
• Experience using Power BI.
• Experience in managing strategy projects with cross-functional teams, ideally in a consulting firm.
• Superior analytical skills.
• Experience facilitating strategic planning and project-related workshops with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong ability to translate technical data and data analytics into PowerPoint presentations that are visually appealing and able to capture and persuade a variety of audiences.
• Superior narrative and storytelling skills, evidenced by excellent written and verbal communications and interactions with colleagues and collaborators at all levels.
• Organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage a project team and prioritize resources and time effectively and a strong commitment to deadlines and ownership of assignments.
• Skilled in managing stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and develop successful professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to create clear and compelling presentations on complex topics.
