PART TIME Accounts Payable Clerk in Allentown, Pennsylvania

Description

We are offering a PART TIME employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in ALLENTOWN, Pennsylvania. This role will be office-based and will focus on the processing of invoices, managing payments to vendors, and maintaining communication with vendors about invoices and payments.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately processing invoices and matching them with purchase orders

• Handling payments to vendors in a timely and efficient manner

• Regularly reviewing vendor statements for accuracy

• Maintaining open and clear communication with vendors regarding invoices and payments

• Processing annual 1099s

• Ensuring all customer credit applications are processed accurately and efficiently

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary

• Maintaining accurate customer credit records.

PART TIME – 16 hours a week/4days a week

Requirements • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role in the finance department.

• Strong knowledge and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with discretion.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately process invoices.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with vendors and internal departments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve any discrepancies related to invoice payments.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

• Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
