Development, Senior Director (Hybrid – 3 Days in Office)

Position Overview:

Our Development Senior Director is a key team member of our Corporate Technologies Team within Enterprise Business Technology Office. Our group is responsible for partnering with the Corporate Divisions to define strategies, roadmaps, objectives, and deliver capabilities that transform the business areas. This role will be responsible for a sophisticated portfolio of finance technology solutions for the Finance Division.

The Senior Director will assemble and lead multi-discipline technology teams, provide technical mentorship, direct vendor selection and management, and ensure alignment between programs, business partners, and EO&T teams and strategies. This position requires a strong communicator who can translate complex technical issues into easily understood communications that will influence executive audiences with varied technical backgrounds and capabilities.

Our Impact:

  • Delivery of Finance solutions including implementation of a new Workday ERP tool, to optimally perform finance accounting, operations, analytics functions.
  • Adoption of FHFA comprehensive Regulatory Reporting modifications, resolution of outstanding data quality issues, and modernization of diverse reporting platforms and data delivery techniques.
  • Establishment of a common Finance data platform, to deliver data solutions that will enable Finance to achieve its mission of being a valued strategic partner to the business and the company, managing effective and efficient controls and processes, while being nimble and open to change. 
  • Appropriate data environment to enhance our ability to effectively and efficiently perform financial accounting and reporting.

Your Impact:

  • Collaborate with business and technology partners to define technology strategy and vision.
  • Improve our portfolio by modernizing our technology and team capabilities, taking advantage of emerging trends.
  • Lead a development team supporting a varied application portfolio through subordinate managers.
  • Partner to build data platforms to enable self-service analytics and reporting
  • Implement solutions to satisfy Corporate and FHFA scorecards.
  • Lead the reporting and remediation of security vulnerabilities and application obsolescence.
  • Assess architectural changes, technology platform decisions, and new technology selection and introduction for its impacts to the business.
  • Establish operational objectives and work plans, and delegate assignments to subordinate managers. Prepare materials for Senior management reviews of objectives, deliveries, issues, and risks to determine success of operation. Involved in developing, modifying, and executing company policies that effect immediate operations that have a company-wide effect.
  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of technologies and organizational objectives. Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for delivering results.
  • Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to relationship.
  • Provide product support when issues are identified either by the Product Team directly or as triaged and raised by the Global Operations.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant IT, Finance, and management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; advanced/studies degree preferred
  • Experience in directing a team of 25+ IT professionals and developing partnerships with multiple sophisticated business areas concurrently to deliver complicated technology solutions.
  • Experience and knowledge of data migration from on-prem to Cloud platforms
  • Experience with SaaS implementations
  • Experience with Agile development and product teams

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $216,000 – $324,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
