Job responsibilities:
- BPCS / ERP system proficient
- Cycle count material
- Does regular inventory counting to ensure levels of material remains accurate, notifies Supply Chain Manager when levels are inaccurate. Investigates in BPCS when amount became inaccurate and deduces which shop order caused inaccuracies.
- Regularly organize inventory into logically sound locations. Notify Supply Chain and Logistics Manager when a more strategically sound location is determined.
- Manages and helps develop internal inventory tracking system to record delivered material, shipments and stock levels.
- Inspects incoming material for quality, damages and ensures correct material is delivered and received into appropriate inventory locations through internal inventory locator system, BPCS, and Mendix software systems.
- Coordinates receiving with material handlers.
- Manages Country of Origin on material (COO), works with material handlers in ensuring proper Country of Origin is marked on material.
- Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages for upcoming shop orders.
- Subject matter expert “go to” for in on-site inventory locations for material
- Receives and issues materials in BPCS
- Manages scrap in Mendix system, keeps and analyzes historical data for scrap
- Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply needs against upcoming shop orders into ongoing data analysis documents utilizing Excel to create historical data.
- Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency and to Supply Chain and Logistics Manager.
- Works with Mendix team to create process in which we track WIP (work in process) material
- Helps create internal inventory tracking system for raw material and components.
- Helps lead and participate in end of year 100% physical inventory count
- Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve inventory tracking procedures to Supply Chain and Logistics Manger
- Any other related duties as determined by Supply Chain and Logistics Manager.
Requirements:
A.S (B.S preferred) in Supply Chain Management and or related field
Proficiency in BPCS (or related ERP system)
Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook
Inventory tracking / managing experience
Knowledge of Carbon / Stainless steel products
Knowledge domestic / AIS requirements
Experience in inspecting and receiving material
