As a Sr. Director Finance here at Honeywell, you will hold a critical leadership position within our finance team. Your role will involve providing strategic direction and oversight to the business analysis and planning finance function in the Energy & Sustainability Solutions (ESS) business unit. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive financial strategies that align with business objectives, driving financial success, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Collaborating closely with senior executives and cross-functional teams, you will provide insights and recommendations to drive revenue growth, optimize profitability, and minimize costs. Your expertise in financial analysis and forecasting will be instrumental in identifying business expansion opportunities and mitigating financial risks. You will report directly to our Vice President, ESS Business Analysis and Planning and you will work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the financial performance of the ESS business unit, driving growth and profitability. You will lead and mentor a team of business analysis and planning finance professionals, establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, and prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and strategic plans to senior executives and the board of directors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight to the business analysis and planning function in the ESS business unit
  • Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams to ensure financial goals are aligned with overall business strategies
  • Provide insights and recommendations to drive revenue growth, optimize profitability, and minimize costs
  • Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to identify business expansion opportunities and mitigate financial risks
  • Lead and mentor a team of business analysis and planning finance professionals
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and strategic plans to senior executives and the board of directors
  • Drive financial performance, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and optimize resource allocation

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial finance and/or business analysis and planning (FP&A)
  • Prior experience in a leadership or director-level role
  • Proven track record of driving financial performance and achieving business objectives
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent knowledge of financial principles and practices
  • Proficiency in financial analysis software and MS Office
  • Ability to effectively lead and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
