THE JOB:

Join MGM Resorts International’s world-class Compliance team as a Financial Investigations Analyst with a core focus on Know Your Customer (KYC) diligence. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in verifying the identity, financial background, and legitimacy of our casino guests to ensure adherence to KYC, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. You’ll be responsible for conducting in-depth due diligence reviews to assess risk and protect the company from legal, regulatory, or reputational exposure.

THE STARTING RATE: $25.76 per hour.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Conduct thorough KYC reviews on high-value casino customers to verify identity, source of funds/wealth, and overall legitimacy.
  • Use investigative tools and internal/external data to assess financial profiles, business/property ownership, and potential red flags.
  • Identify and evaluate potentially suspicious activity and draft Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as needed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Compliance, Marketing, Operations, and Executive leadership to obtain documentation and clarify findings.
  • Stay current on KYC and AML regulations, including BSA, Title 31/26, and OFAC requirements, and apply them to daily investigations.
  • Support legal and regulatory processes, including subpoena production and data validation requests.
  • Participate in training sessions, contribute to process improvements, and adapt to system updates and procedural changes.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Audit experience in a financial or regulated environment a plus
  • Familiarity with Title 31, Title 26, and casino operations (slots, tables, cage, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to draw logical conclusions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
