The Department of Systems & Industrial Engineering invites qualified applicants to apply for an Adjunct Lecturer position (part-time, non-tenure eligible) to teach SIE 415/515, Technical Sales and Marketing. This 3-unit course is taken by industrial engineering, systems engineering, engineering management, and integrated business/engineering students as well as other students in the College of Engineering who wish to take it as a technical elective.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach one section of SIE 415/515 Technical Sales and Marketing.
  • Prepare and deliver instructional materials and guide/lead class activities at the University of Arizona Main Campus.
  • Ensure successful delivery of the course’s learning objectives through the creation and dissemination of student’s assessments (e.g., quizzes, homework, exams, projects, etc.).
  • Establish and adhere to grading rubrics to ensure students understand grading expectations.
  • Maintain course materials in the University’s chosen Learning Management System that is optimized for on-campus and remote students.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in an engineering or closely related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Systems and Industrial Engineering or closely related discipline.
