As a Defined Contribution Investment Specialist at Allspring Global Investments, you will have the opportunity to drive sales and make a significant impact. You will be responsible for strategically servicing Defined Contribution advisory practices across the Mid-West region of the United States. Your main objective will be to promote our world-class suite of mutual funds and collective investment trusts (CITs) within your assigned territory.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with sales management to provide valuable feedback and insights on industry trends and market demands, enabling us to better serve our Defined Contribution clients.
  • Exceed goals by servicing a focused list of Defined Contribution advisors and consultants.
  • Deliver value to our clients through demonstrated marketplace knowledge and technical expertise within the retirement plan industry. Present relevant value-add content to our client base on key industry topics.
  • Partner with National Account colleagues to deliver firm wide service within assigned DC focused firms.
  • Develop and execute a territory plan deepen existing client relationships and build new advocates, ensuring exposure of our focus products.
  • Demonstrate successful distribution partnerships across both internal and external distribution channels (Wealth Management, RIA, Recordkeepers, Third Party Administrators, etc.)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, with a proven track record of success and established relationships with top Defined Contribution advisory teams.
  • Experience surpassing established performance goals, showcasing your ability to consistently achieve outstanding results.
  • Solid knowledge of the Defined Contribution marketplace and investment management industry, including its unique needs, constraints, and opportunities.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 (or 66) certifications.
  • Reside within the territory.
  • Focused on achieving goals, motivated to excel, and dedicated to providing excellent service.
  • High energy, sense of urgency, and a strong work ethic.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent relationship building skills, combined with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong presentation abilities with exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to prioritize tasks across a large opportunity set.
  • Professional Designation is preferred, but not required.

Base Pay Range: $130,000 – $170,000

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
