Description

The New Business Associate II is responsible for accurately processing new business of multiple group product lines from the point of Application entry, until the policy goes in force, excluding underwriting. This role works closely with internal partners to deliver a customer focused approach to prioritize and process new business to meet specific service level targets.

Primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Work with New Business team to issue policy, put policy in force, assemble policy documents for delivery.
  • Works with internal partners to resolve outstanding new business application and/or underwriting data needs.
  • Process and apply complex premium payments, refund premium and initiate transfers or exchanges from outside carriers.
  • Adhere to and conduct required suitability review and documentation in alignment with state and regulatory guidelines.
  • Report out opportunities for efficiency and innovation.
  • Demonstrate EWA and support OneAmerica Ways.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Needed:

  • Strong attention to detail to meet quality metric (95%)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications with strong Excel skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Works well within a collaborative team

Required education and/or Certifications

  • High School Diploma/GED

Recommended Education and/or Certifications:

  • B.A./B.S. College Degree

Required Work experience:

  • One year of New Business Experience OR three years in professional work setting.
  • Insurance experience preferred

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN (3 days/week in office (Mon, Tues, Wed)). The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
