Position Summary:

Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking a Ground Support Unit Leader to oversee maintenance and repair of deployed equipment during incident response operations. This role will coordinate closely with the Contract and Vendor Support Specialist and other partners to ensure proper tracking, fueling, and servicing of all equipment assigned to the incident.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair Division-owned deployed equipment during incident activations
  • Coordinate with the Contract and Vendor Support Specialist to maintain and repair vendor-owned deployed equipment
  • Track and record usage time for all ground support equipment, including contract equipment
  • Coordinate fuel supplies and refueling logistics for deployed equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational guidelines for equipment usage
  • Assist with inventory control and parts procurement for maintenance operations
  • Work with logistics personnel to support staging and demobilization of equipment
  • Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, maintenance, and equipment usage

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience maintaining and coordinating ground support equipment
  • Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of equipment repair procedures
  • Experience working with vendor-supported logistics and service contracts
  • Ability to track equipment usage and perform accurate recordkeeping
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in emergency response logistics and support services
  • Familiarity with incident command systems and SEOC operations
  • Knowledge of fuel logistics and field servicing operations
  • Proficiency with inventory tracking software or maintenance systems

  • Performance Location: On-site while on assignment (location TBD)
  • Relocation Assistance: Not applicable
  • Clearance Required: None
  • Travel Required: Yes – up to 100% while on assignment

Working Environment:

Work is performed in field environments, logistics staging areas, and Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs). This role may require extended work hours and travel throughout the continental United States and its territories.
