Position Overview:

The Wastewater Equipment Operator will be responsible for the 24/7 daily operations of Wastewater processing

equipment. This position will assist with the overall site safety and performance including the cost-effective use of

facilities, equipment, labor and assets assigned to the site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

Proactively foster a learning safety culture by modeling a safe work ethic and promoting the value of open

reporting and shared safety responsibility. Follow all safety policies, standards, and procedures in order to

achieve a safe and healthy work environment for all staff, customers, and visitors. Similarly support Inland

Group of Companies environmental commitments by helping to limit our organization’s impact on the

ecosystem;

  • Abide by Inland Group of Companies procedural handbooks, operational plans, and directives of
  • management to ensure that all work is done according to specifications and/or regulations;
  • Compliance with all environmental laws and permits;
  • Confined space entry;
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, processing, repairing and facility support.

Required Skills and experience:

  • Minimum 18 years of age;
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Must pass airport background security check;
  • Successful completion of all classroom and on-the-job training;
  • Intermediate computer skills;
  • Ability to read, write, speak and communicate effectively;
  • Ability to interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and
  • procedure manuals;
  • Ability to safely operate a motorized vehicle in inclement weather;
  • General mechanical competence and ability to effectively use hand tools;
  • Ability to maintain a positive and good-natured attitude;
  • Ability to remain calm and perform under pressure and within fixed time constraints;
  • On time attendance;
  • Teamwork and cooperation;
  • Attention to detail.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

  • Frequent exposure to hot and cold weather conditions;
  • Hearing protection required.

Physical Demands:

  • Standing or sitting for periods of time;
  • Climbing catwalk;
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs;
  • May be necessary to work at heights up to 15 feet.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Full time 8-hour shifts with the ability for flexible hours. 40 hours per week;
  • Part time 8-hour shifts, scheduled, nights and weekends.

Travel:

  • There is no travel anticipated with this position.

Security Clearance:

  • Must be able to pass 10-year background check for airport security clearance;
  • Must Be able to pass SIDA Airside security test.
