position Summary:
The Research Program Associate under direction of the Principal Investigator and program coordinators to coordinate and implement research projects, ensuring that projects achieve their goals and objectives in a timely manner. The incumbent also assists in community outreach, participant/patient recruitment, data collection, process tracking, and have liaison responsibilities with CAH partners.
Required education and experience:
* Bachelor’s Degree or training in related field and at least one year of experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Education and Experience:
* Working experience in racial ethnic minority communities and with all age groups including youth populations as well.
Required Skills and Abilities:
* Excellent communication skills
* Proficiency in Vietnamese, speaking and writing
* Evidence of strong writing skills.
* Detail oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
* Ability to work independently
* Ability to conduct research collaboratively
* Proficiency in working with diverse populations
Essential Duties:
* Project Support – assisting with project planning and implementation; community outreach, community site recruitment, participant recruitment; managing the logistics of and coordinating study visits; assisting with project data collection activities;
* Outreach to community- based organizations, faith-based organizations, cultural groups, schools and other community spaces
* Conduct culturally tailored health education workshops at community and faith-based organizations;
* Assist with project material translations from English into Vietnamese language;
* Project Tracking- Compile and prepare project tracking, verify information, identify discrepancies and makes corrections;
* Scheduling and Coordinating – Schedule appointments, assist in preparing for community program and project visits (checking the logistics and technical support, ordering and setting up logistics etc.) and other related duties;
* Foster relationships with community leaders and engage them in project meetings and activities;
* Participate in other projects and special events as required.
* Conduct community outreach, including organizing work-related community events and advocate CAH mission and programs
* Implement outreach methods to increase awareness of and collaboration on CAH studies/programs
* Assist to promote partnerships with diverse community-based and faith-based organizations and clinical partners
* Assist to provide culturally relevant training to community leaders/designated staff
* Assist to develop recruitment strategies and recruiting program participants
* Assist in delivering education and interventions to participants, based on study/program protocol
* Assist with data collection and data entry for community-based initiatives and research projects
* Performs other duties as assigned
