What We DoFirst American Trust/Banking is seeking an experienced Commercial Banking Services Supervisor to join our team. You will be primarily focused on supervising the New Accounts team that is responsible for all aspects of new account set up/conversion/maintenance and management of user access rights while maintaining the highest level of customer service standards and ensuring compliance requirements are met.

What You’ll Do:

  • Primary purpose of role is supervision.Directly supervise the staff responsible for processing new accounts, user setups, and access change requests
  • Allocate workload between onshore and offshore New Accounts teams
  • Assist with all personnel management, ensure appropriate wage and work hour laws are followed, and provide input to goal setting for the functional area
  • Responsible for timely follow-up and resolution on all outstanding issues
  • Review New Accounts’ processes and procedures periodically and supervise user access and account services audits to ensure compliance
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, counseling, and performance feedback with management consultation. Advocate for employees and communicates compensation changes
  • Make strategic hiring recommendations
  • Provide regular status updates and reports to manager

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4-6 years of directly related experience in a commercial banking services environment
  • 2+ years demonstrated experience in a lead or supervisory role
  • Experience using banking platform systems, preferably with New Accounts experience and/or operations background
  • Experience using Fiserv DNA a plus
  • Successful track record of executing day to day operational responsibilities, along with participating in, developing and completing projects in area of expertise
  • Able to implement and enforce processes to ensure compliance and quality
  • Excellent verbal, listening and written communication
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a high-volume environment handling complex or difficult transactions.
  • Self- motivated and results- oriented
