Senior Treasury Analyst

This position will report directly to the Director of ALM & Investments. Using Empyrean, you will support all aspects of Asset Liability Management to help achieve organizational improvements related to cashflow modelling and forecasting, interest rate and liquidity risk identification and mitigation, model risk management and ad hoc financial analysis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support the ongoing implementation and execution of risk management systems and applications from data management to Board-level reporting
  • Responsible for production of interest rate and liquidity risk reporting, reviewing calculations and approaches for validity and accuracy
  • Review compliance against regulatory and/ or internal policy limits and report on findings to senior leadership
  • Prepare analysis for regulatory, risk and internal audit requirements
  • Develop and maintain model technical documents, recommends strategies for improving system applications and build out internal controls
  • Produce ad-hoc analysis and reporting regarding industry trends, financial performance, and profitability analyses on the company’s balance sheet
  • Develop customized solutions within the platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements, and company goals

Qualifications – External

  • 5-10 years of Treasury / ALM experience at a bank or financial institution.
  • Experience with Empyrean is preferred
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments to maintain effective department operations
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and implement improvement to Treasury controls and procedures
  • High degree of flexibility to perform a diverse scope of duties, which are key to the efficient operation of the Treasury
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other work-related systems as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree, or an Associate’s degree combined with relevant business experience
