The Digital Receiver Technology (DRT) subsidiary has an opening in our Germantown, MD office for aSenior Business Development Manager. This position designs, leads and implements the strategic business capture plan (for Electronic Warfare/ SIGINT software-defined radio technologies) for key DRT customers. This position reports to the Director of Business Development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the performance of the assigned customer accounts with a primary focus on intelligence community and SOCOM.
  • Proactively interfaces with customers and partners to identify, qualify and capture new business opportunities.
  • Identifies, evaluates and pursues partnerships, alliances and joint ventures where these will lead to new business.
  • Leads market analysis, monitors competitive intelligence and identifies customer needs within their respective business area.
  • Generates capture plans for strategically or financially significant opportunities.
  • Directs the updates to and review the opportunity forecast for their respective business areas on a regular basis.
  • Leads or contributes as assigned by the Director in the preparation of internal pursuit reviews and external proposals to include competitive assessments, customer hot buttons and win themes, price-to-win strategies, etc.
  • Market analysis, development of the marketing communications strategy.
  • Tradeshows/customer visit coordination and execution.
  • Interface with DOD program offices and/or IC leadership to understand, shape and influence future requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the pursuit of new business opportunities.
  • Effect market penetration and growth with minimal supervision.
  • Domestic and International travel to support developing opportunities.
  • By example, represent the brand legacy of DRT.
  • Maintain a high ethical standard of practice, including compliance with all company procedures.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship Required, along with the abilityto obtain and maintain U.S. Top Secret or SCI Level Security Clearance upon hire (current TS/SCI preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or equivalent field required.
  • 8-12 years BD and/or Program Management experience in the DOD or IC.
  • The preferred candidate will have previous experience with SIGINT or EW systems, processing or operations.
  • Deep understanding of government acquisitions and requirements development.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and interact with employees in a matrix organization.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft products required.
    • Familiarity with sales tracking tools (CRM tools), preferred.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.

The annualized pay range for this role is$143,235-$183,022USD along with a target incentive compensation plan (ICP) of15%. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above. TDSI considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
