2nd Shift General Assembler

Responsible for inspecting pipe to internal standards as well as packaging pipe to customer request.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per Franklin Fueling Systems.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
  • Report problems with quality, process, equipment, and materials to Production Supervisor.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
  • Meets daily production schedule as assigned.
  • Inspecting pipe to internal standards.
  • Packaging pipe to customer request.
  • Provide relief for extrusion line when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Skills and Abilities

  • Works with various hand and power tools.
  • Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Utilizes common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Provides accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards.
  • Interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others on a team.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility in work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks.
  • Ability to work alone effectively under stress and in situations dangerous to self or others.
  • Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
  • Six months or more experience working in a manufacturing type position (preferred).

Computer Skills

  • Basic computer knowledge (required).

  • While performing the functions of this job, the employee is:
  • Continually required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 lbs.; stand.
  • Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.; push or pull; walk.
  • Occasionally required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.; sit; ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; turn wrenches, valves, or handles; bend or twist; use upper extremities; reach above shoulders; reach to full extension.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include regular peripheral viewing; viewing length changes; close viewing with depth perception; and occasional distance viewing.
  • Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the need to perceive the spoken voice clearly and the need to hear warning signals up to 70dbs with or without assistance.
  • Specific speech abilities regularly required by this job include comprehensible speech.
