TITLE: Material Handler C

position OBJECTIVE: Efficiently and accurately bring supplies to the lines and keep lines clear of completed skids.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compliance with company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Become familiar with film, chip and corrugated codes.
  • Must show basic familiarity with truck operations.
  • Be able to properly complete a pre-shift truck inspection, as well as complete P.M. checklist daily.
  • Know the proper placement of all finished product.
  • Basic math skills to accurately order material needed for change-over’s.
  • Weight scrap gaylords at the end of the shift or at any change-over’s.
  • Understands the difference between A, B, Peco and Chep pallets
  • Follows established procedures including standard operating procedures (SOP’s), cGMP, food safety regulations, and safety procedures

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

  • Subject to extreme heat, temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:

  • Stooping/Bending
  • Kneeling
  • Standing for long periods of time
