An Account Director in the Automotive Group is a student of the industry and a close partner to our frontline sales teams. While we respond to RFPs, we also proactively develop tailored solutions to dynamic business conditions. Our automotive customers rely on BIW to help them respond to their marketplace, so we have a very fast-paced environment. The Account Director will spend significant time with customers to understand their business issues and consult on fresh perspectives and concepts. The Account Director partners with our sales teams and collaborates with BIW business units; consolidating input from SMEs into a one-voice, cohesive proposal.

The Account Director can be located in our Detroit, MI, Edina, MN, or LA/Orange County, CA metro offices.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Sales to determine strategic account direction.
  • Lead and develop concepts and creative proposals for clients; incorporating content from appropriate contributing departments.
  • Consolidate proposal contents and budget into a one-voice, polished end product.
  • Present recommendations, both formal and informal.
  • Serve as the internal champion for customer for all programs throughout the four phases of the CDP.
  • Grow account revenue through new ideas and applications.
  • Focus on designing and achieving desired business results for customers.
  • Requires some travel to client locations.

education/Experience Required:

  • BS/BA in Business or Marketing, preferred.
  • 7+ years of related business experience.
  • Solid understanding of the Automotive marketplace.
  • Automotive account experience preferred.

Base Salary Range: $90,000 to $120,000. The final salary and offer will be determined based on applicant’s location.
