Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) is an academic institution intrinsically tied to the real world—a confluence of industry knowledge, work ethic and an enduring desire to know more. Summary
The Humanities, Social Science, and Communication (HSC) Department at MSOE is seeking an Adjunct Instructor. The position will be available for the fall semester of 2025.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, Knowledge, and Skills
  • A Master’s degree in History, Sociology, Urban Studies, or related field
  • Interest in working primarily with undergraduate students in a classroom setting

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Tools:?? 

  • Experience teaching courses with an experiential learning component
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build successful relationships with students and faculty from other departments?

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The HSC Department has offices in MSOE’s Grohmann Museum, home of the Man at Work collection of industrial art. The UX Program has a close relationship with the Computer Science and Software Engineering programs allowing for collaboration in AI, ML, cyber security, data science, and computing education. The UX Program’s Gene Carter Usability Lab provides collaborative space for faculty and students to research and develop engaging interactive experiences.
