Administrative Assistant in Columbus, Ohio

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in Columbus, Ohio, within the Construction/Contractor industry. This role entails providing administrative support, managing clerical tasks, and handling project-based tasks, all while maintaining a professional demeanor during in-person and phone interactions.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.

• Manage and maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Handle incoming service calls and distribute them to the appropriate personnel.

• Take charge of billing and accruals for the department.

• Assist in scheduling manpower for the technicians.

• Attend weekly meetings and take notes for record keeping.

• Order and manage material and equipment as needed.

• Handle customer requests and inquiries professionally and promptly.

• Assist in maintaining records of licensing and certifications for assigned personnel.

• Conduct daily monitoring of customer accounts and take necessary action.

• Process subcontracts and new monitoring contracts for the department.

• Review daily monitoring accounts and update account information as needed.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.

• Experience with Answering Inbound Calls and Customer Service.

• Strong Data Entry skills.

• Ability to handle Email Correspondence and Inbound Outbound Calls.

• Experience with Schedule Appointments, Payroll, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR). Requirements • Proficiency in handling inbound and outbound calls

• Exceptional customer service skills

• Experience in data entry

• Familiarity with email correspondence

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

• Ability to schedule appointments efficiently

• Experience in payroll processing

• Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Ability to work in a construction or contractor industry setting

• Strong administrative and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
