Advanced Practice Provider – Neurosurgery

Fort Worth, TX Schedule: Full-Time

Acclaim Multi-Specialty Group is currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Neurosurgery team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a dedicated group of neurosurgeons and orthopedic residents at a Level I Trauma Center, providing expert neurological and spine care across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in delivering comprehensive neurosurgical care in inpatient, outpatient, and OR settings

Perform medical histories, physical exams, and order/interprets lab and imaging tests

Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and care plans

Assist surgeons with cranial and spinal cases in the operating room

Manage spine patients in collaboration with orthopedic residents

Perform bedside interventions under physician supervision, including:

Placement of intracranial pressure monitors

External ventricular drains

Lumbar drains

Follow established hospital protocols and collaborate within a multidisciplinary care team

Participate in on-call rotation as required

Qualifications:

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:

Must have current Texas Physician Assistant license or Texas APRN license (AGACNP/ACNP) with RNFA

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Required education and experience:

Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing OR Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program

Preferred Education and Experience:

2 years of clinical experience preferred.

OR experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of advanced techniques and care management within specialty area.

Knowledge and understanding of customer service principles.

Knowledge of safety and security principles.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

Skill in solving mathematic computations needed to accurately calculate medication dosages and assist with reports and collection and analysis of data.

Skilled in analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations.

Time management skills.

Ability to collaborate with referring physicians, residents, clinical staff and support staff to provide quality patient care.

Ability to present information or ideas concisely, accurately, and clearly verbally and in writing.

Ability to delegate tasks appropriately, with consideration for educational level, age and developmental stage of employee.

Ability to work well under pressure.

Ability to demonstrate patient centered and patient valued behavior.

Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires results.

Ability to maintain a positive and effective working relationship with coworkers, patients, and visitors.
