HEICO Repair Group Aerostructures is seeking a skilled aircraft structural component parts painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, priming and paitning aircraft structural components in accordance with OEM specifications, FAA regulations and company standards. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures and the ability to work with painting equipment and materials.
Key Responsibilities
– Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking and applying corrosion protection treatments
– Mix, prepare and apply primers, paints and coatings to aircraft structural parts in accordance with technical documentation
– Operate and maintain spray painting equipment, hand tools, etc.
– Follow applicable safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and respirators
– Inspect painted surfaces for quality, finish and compliance with specifications
– Perform touch-up and rework as necessary
– Keep work areas clean and organized to comply with environmental and safety regulations
experience in industrial, automotive or aircraft painting
Ability to mix paints and coatings accurately
Familiarity with painting tools, spray guns and related equipment
Ability to wear respirator and pass required medical clearance for respirator use
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
Ability to stand, bend and work in various positions for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to work in a paint booth and wear protective gear as required
