JOB TITLE: Aircraft Upholstery Technician II

LOCATION: Savannah, GA

PAY RATE: $25.65/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Under minimal supervision, fabricate and install aircraft upholstery and cover panels.
  • Create simple patterns and follow engineering drawings and specifications to complete interior work.
  • Fabricate and install flat panels, curtains, and simple covers per design specs
  • Work with fabric, vinyl, leather, and composites using adhesives, sewing equipment, and power tools
  • Cut and surge carpets; install and cover bulkheads, headliners, sidewalls, hatch panels, and windows
  • Use material tracking system (Corridor) to request parts, track work, and sign off tasks
  • Support process improvements alongside lead technicians using Lean principles
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, 5S practices, and PPE requirements
  • Identify and address unsafe conditions
  • Perform other related duties as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with commercial sewing machines, sergers, and upholstery hand tools
  • Aerospace industry experience preferred
  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
