Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Join our team to perform manual and mechanical duties in the operations of various equipment and tools for the fabrication and assembly of foam and plastic containers. This role involves operating tools, reading simple prints, drawings, and specifications to ensure quality production.

Responsibilities

  • Operate tools and equipment for fabrication and assembly tasks.
  • Read simple prints, drawings, and specifications to guide operations.
  • Perform a variety of simple fabrications and assembly operations.
  • Pick parts and supplies from inventory as instructed.
  • Assist in setting up and operating cutting, drilling, saws, glue applicators, assembly tools, drill presses, and hand tools.
  • Cut stock to proper dimensions and tolerances as instructed.
  • Perform gluing, taping, flame treating, and labeling operations as directed.
  • Conduct required masking and painting operations.
  • Review product specifications for simple jobs.
  • Perform required tests, visual inspections, and dimension checks.
  • Detect any out-of-specification conditions and notify the appropriate personnel.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in assembly operations.
  • Skilled in using a glue gun and tape measure.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret simple prints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety precautions and quality standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Comfortable with working 2 hours of overtime daily and some Saturdays.
  • Able to lift 20-30 pounds.
  • experience working in a potentially loud environment.

Work Environment

The role is based in a potentially loud environment, requiring physical activity such as lifting 20-30 pounds. The shift is from 2:00pm to 10:30pm, with the possibility of overtime and some Saturday work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ontario, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $21.00/hr.
