Location: Fort Myers, FL (100% Onsite)

Pay: $27/hour during probationary period; $75,000–$83,000 annually once hired (DOE)

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

Workforce Size: 450 employees

Language requirement: Bilingual (English/Spanish required)

About the Opportunity

Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a Benefits Administrator to support a large and growing organization with 450 employees in Fort Myers, FL. This position plays a key role in employee benefits, leave administration, HR compliance, and wellness initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, bilingual, and experienced in benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities

Leave Administration

  • Administer and track employee leave of absence, FMLA, ADA, and accommodation requests.
  • Ensure accurate communication with employees and managers regarding leave status.
  • Maintain records and manage return-to-work processes.

Benefit Administration

  • Oversee benefit enrollments, life event changes, and compliance with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
  • Respond to employee benefit inquiries and coordinate with vendors.
  • Process and audit monthly benefit plan invoices.
  • Manage COBRA, ACA reporting, and annual open enrollment.

Wellness Program

  • Coordinate wellness initiatives, educational campaigns, and vendor relationships.
  • Track participation and provide resources for employee well-being.

HRIS & Compliance

  • Process benefit transactions and leave activity in HR systems.
  • Conduct audits to ensure data accuracy.
  • Support system testing, upgrades, and reporting for HR technology.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Run and analyze reports for benefits, compliance, and audit purposes.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements.

Qualifications

  • education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • experience: 5–8 years of proven benefits administration experience.
  • Certification: HR certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM) preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) – required.
    • Strong knowledge of benefits, FMLA, ADA, ACA, and related laws.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
