Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech company

BILL is looking for an experienced Benefits professional to join our People team. You’ll jump into the day-to-day administration and ongoing enhancement of our employee benefit and well-being programs. You will drive overall program and vendor management, as well as serve as an advocate, partner, and subject matter expert to employees and business partners.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide program management and oversight for our benefit, time off, and retirement programs, in addition to other employee benefit and well-being programs
  • Lead all aspects of Open Enrollment activities, including Workday preparation and testing
  • Manage vendor partners to ensure vendor performance aligns with company expectations and that programs meet performance targets
  • Work collaboratively with Benefits team members to provide seamless program management and timely employee support
  • Plan and implement effective employee communications for benefits and wellness programs; serve as liaison with internal communications to ensure alignment
  • Partner with People Technology, Payroll, and vendors to ensure data accuracy; identify areas for improved automation and collaborate to implement solutions
  • Liaise with People team members to optimize employee support and increase front-line knowledge of benefits

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • 8+ years of experience in benefit program management
  • Direct experience managing 401(k) plans, including compliance, daily operations, and partnering with internal governance committees
  • Experience with Workday, specifically Benefits and Absence Management modules
  • Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting Open Enrollment and vendor management
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and integrations related to benefits administration
  • Proven ability to analyze, document, and improve benefit-related processes and systems

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to manage benefit programs independently with limited oversight
  • Strong organizational skills with a consistent ability to drive initiatives to completion
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on the employee experience
  • Self-starter who collaborates effectively across teams
  • Positive, solution-oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership

This San Jose, CA-based hybrid role requires in-office work (Mon, Tues, Thurs). Candidates must be U.S. work authorized with no current or future sponsorship needs and live within 45 miles of San Jose, CA or relocate by the start date.

The estimated salary range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

San Jose pay range

$114,400—$142,500 USD
