Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant
Location: Jackson, LA 70748
Duration: 03 months with possible extension
Shift: 06:00 AM – 06:30 PM and 06:00 PM – 06:30 AM

Role & Responsibilities:

• 25% Directs and assists in providing care to patients such as ambulating, bathing, positioning, lifting, and dressing. Instructs and trains subordinates in patient care techniques, serves as a lead worker over Nursing Unit Aides and Nursing Assistant 1’s.
• 20% Directs and assists in the feeding of patients. Monitors and documents eating patterns of patient.
• 10% Clean rooms, makes and changes bed linens.
• 8% Inspect resident rooms, equipment, supplies and area cleanliness reports deficiencies or maintenance problems.
• 8% Distributing clean linens washes. dries, sorts, fold and stores patient’s clothing. Performs general housekeeping tasks which include dry and wet mopping floors.
• 8% Cleans equipment such as whirlpool tub, weight scale, hoyer lift, wheelchair weight scale, bed pan, Sterilizer. ad Prosthetics.
• 7% Measures temperature, pulse respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, intake and output and records in patient’s medical record.
• 5% Observes patient’s condition and reports any changes to Charge nurse.
• 2% Inventories patient belongings on admission. labels all Items and documents on media record.
• 1% Assists physicians and nurses with various examinations and treatments.
• 1% Escorts transports patients to examination; clinics , recreation sites physical therapy and other areas as indicated.
• 1% Collects. labels and transports laboratory specimens assigned.
• 1% Provides care to patients with Infectious diseases as needed.
• 1% performs specific treatments/procedures under directions of a professional nurse such as changing dressings and nasopharyngeal suctioning.
• 1% changes bandages and reinforces sterile dressings under professional direction.
• 1% Assists professional staff in responding to emergency situations.
• Performs other related duties as required
• Patient Ratio:
• 8-10 Minimum
• 22-30 Maximum
• Bathing patients and Washing clothes.

License and Certification:

• Certified Nursing Assistant License.
• BLS/ CPR Certificate.
