Civil Designer in Louisville, Kentucky

Job Title: Civil DesignerJob Description

We are seeking a Civil Designer with over 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate should have proficiency in Civil3D or similar software, particularly with grading and drainage design, road design, creating surfaces, and working with existing and proposed contours (topography). Experience in storm sewer layout and design, parking lot design, and a solid understanding of engineering and surveying standard practices is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Create and design projects using Civil3D software.

  • Design grading, drainage, roadways, surfaces, and parking lots.

  • Work with existing and proposed topography (contours).

  • Perform storm sewer layout and design.

  • Support civil and energy teams by creating detailed designs.

  • Support cell tower projects.

  • Conduct self QA/QC to ensure the accuracy of designs.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Civil3D and AutoCAD.

  • Experience in site development and civil design.

  • Strong skills in layout design.

  • Expertise in grading and drainage design.

  • Knowledge of topography and engineering/surveying standard practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with software such as Revit, Navisworks, Microstation, Infraworks, and Autodesk.

  • An associate degree or higher is preferred.

Work Environment

The work schedule is from 8 AM to 5 PM in a business casual environment, working in an office/cube setting. The team currently consists of over 80 employees and is expected to grow as the project load increases. The company offers 1.5 hours of PTO accrual per week and observes 8 holidays annually.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $32.00/hr.
