Lake Ridge Bank is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as the Commercial/Ag Quality Control Manager!The Commercial/Ag Quality Control Manager is responsible for the management and supervision of the Quality Control team in the Commercial and Ag Loan Operations Department. This position‘s primary responsibility is to ensure commercial and ag loans are documented, boarded to the core and serviced properly per the loan approval, internal processes & procedures and all compliance rules and regulations.
Essential Responsibilities
Supervision & Leadership
Set clear expectations and review performance with staff regularly through one-on-ones and quarterly conversations. Keep accurate personnel files.
Mentor, coach and support staff. Guide and develop associates to strengthen their knowledge, job responsibilities, and engagement. Promote job satisfaction.
Ensure department’s processes support the bank strategies and goals.
Conduct department meetings. Keep staff informed and engaged.
Identify educational opportunities for staff related to their personal goals.
Act as a role model to staff through appropriate behaviors and professional demeanor. Ensure alignment with Lake Ridge Bank’s Mission, Vision and Values.
Department Management
Review and monitor Adverse Actions for procedural and regulatory compliance.
Review and monitor HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure Act) loans ensuring procedural and regulatory compliance.
Review and monitor CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) loans ensuring procedural and regulatory compliance.
Perform monthly HMDA audit and submit data to Compliance department.
Perform monthly CRA audit and submit data to Compliance department.
Review and monitor daily post-audit reviews of all originated and renewed commercial and ag loans ensuring all executed loan documentation is in place per the loan approval.
Review and monitor daily new note audits per FDICIA ensuring loans are accurately set-up in the core.
Review and monitor daily file maintenance reviews per FDICIA including but not limited to all interest rate changes.
Assist with bank audit and exam requests to provide documentation, research and review assistance.
Assist Loan Production with complex documentation reviews, questions and guidance.
Stay educated and involved with all lending regulations to ensure current and future reviews, monitoring & audits are capturing what is required.
Adhere to all Bank Security/Compliance Regulations
Complete all annual bank security and compliance training.
Adhere to Bank Security/compliance and policy guidelines for retail/commercial loan area.
Maintain confidentiality of customer information at all times.
Stay current on all compliance regulations required through training and education.
Additional Responsibilities
Remain knowledgeable with related department’s general processes and procedures including but not limited to Underwriting, Loan Production, Loan Service, Loan Closing and Imaging.
Identify and/or create reports to assist with required monitoring responsibilities and management of workloads.
Implement and lead adoption of new processes and improvements.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned or requested.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business and/or similar field of education and/or minimum 3 years’ previous work experience in commercial and/or agriculture lending, loan processing, loan operations, credit underwriting, or similar work experience.
Previous management/supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to lead others effectively.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written) to communicate and relate effectively with all associates.
Good accounting/math skills with the ability to work precisely with numbers and financial calculations.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work on multiple priorities efficiently & accurately.
Demonstrated ability in exercising independent judgment and consistent decision making.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and to provide ownership over own work to get the job done.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and remain calm while working in a fast paced/deadline driven environment.
Flexibility in scheduling is essential for periods of high volume.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, proficient typing/keyboarding skills and the ability and willingness to learn new programs and software.
Ability to maintain confidential customer information.
Ability to read, write, understand and speak English clearly.
Ability to represent the organization in a professional, positive manner.
Capability to maintain confidentiality of customer information.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or 5 years previous commercial loan processing, servicing, underwriting or compliance experience.
Knowledge of Commercial and Agricultural loan documentation.
Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
