Summary of Position

This job is responsible for managing all computer laboratories in the Computer Science Department, to keep computers and software updated as needed, and to monitor workstations and servers. Manages one full-time position and four or more part-time positions.

Minimum Required Education

Associate’s degree from an US regionally or nationally accredited university required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Minimum Required Experience

Two years wage earning experience in a computer related field OR 45 semester hours of specific computer science courses. Prefer current or former experience with in CTC Computer Science Department.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to install/configure all hardware components.

  • Must be able to install/configure all software used in labs, such as: Windows, Microsoft Office, Visual Studio, Database Development Software.

  • Must be able to make cables (RJ-45), reset hubs, reset file servers, delete mappings, use imaging software, write HTML .

  • Work station configuration and maintenance.

  • Open labs, check labs for problems; report and or fix computers and printers.

  • Maintain equipment in classrooms and labs.

  • Track inventory for the department.

    Salary 1L/Per Exempt Pay scale

    Hours Full-time, indicate working hours – Mon – Thur 7:30am – 5:30pm Fri 7:30-11:30am
