Cost Accountant in Azusa, California

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cost Accountant to be based in Azusa, California. This role is primarily focused on international purchase posting, maintaining fixed assets, and ensuring the correct General Ledger coding for inventory items within the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all international purchase related transactions to inventory and General Ledger, including entering/reviewing vouchers and journal entries.

• Analyze divisional gross margin and compare to historical data.

• Carry out month-end closing, reconcile balance sheet for inventory, fixed assets, and related accounts as assigned.

• Review and record overseas office expenses.

• Conduct special projects as assigned.

• Utilize computer literacy, ten key by touch, Sage 100, and advanced Microsoft Excel to execute tasks efficiently.

• Leverage bilingual Mandarin skills to handle overseas invoices and communications.

• Apply extensive knowledge of accounting principles.

• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role

• Proficiency in General Ledger management is required

• Knowledge and experience with Fixed Asset Inventory

• Must have experience in preparing and analyzing Journal Entries

• Demonstrated experience with Month-end Close Activities

• Experience in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation is a must

• Proficiency in Sage 100 accounting software is required

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, vlookups, and macros is required

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required

• Professional certification such as CMA or CPA is preferred.
