Summary
The Cost Controlling Manager is responsible for the consolidation and reporting of Grifols Diagnostics Industrial group financials and support Sr. Director, Dx Industrial Finance to implement Industrial division wide initiatives and projects. The Cost Controlling Manager is also responsible for the cost controlling of Diagnostics plant in Australia, including budgeting, product costing, manufacturing variance analysis, management reporting and supporting/advising manufacturing and quality teams in increasing financial efficiency in the plant.
Primary Responsibilities for Role
Financial Planning & Analysis
Prepare the consolidation of Diagnostic Industrial monthly result and prepare monthly Industrial financial reports
Coordinate annual Budget and Mid-Year Forecast planning and preparation
Provide robust challenge to the business during planning processes to ensure Industrial divisional budgets and forecasts are reasonable.
Act as Subject Matter Expert for Diagnostic Industrial cost controlling team for areas including analysis of manufacturing variances and product costing in SAP.
Provide support to implement Industrial division wide initiatives and projects
Support Sr. Director, Dx Industrial Finance to provide ad hoc financial support to Diagnostic Industrial management team
Coordinate with other Grifols affiliates for areas impacting Diagnostic, e.g. production volume and manufacturing expenses update from Laboratorios Grifols
Cost Controlling of Grifols Australia manufacturing plant (small size plant)
Lead Grifols Australia product standard cost development in support of annual budget and mid-year forecast processes
Assist in manufacturing and quality functions financial planning process
Manage and validate that the forecast information is properly loaded and reported in the SAP and BI reporting modules used globally throughout the company
Cooperate with the Finance team in Australia to support month-end closing by ensuring expenses are booked accurately and completely, and inventory & cost of goods sold are correctly reported
Consolidate Grifols Australia manufacturing cost and inventory related information and prepare monthly reporting package for corporate and executive management review
Provide analysis and monthly reviews of the financial results versus the annual budget and latest forecast to Industrial management
Close interaction with Manufacturing and Production Planning to ensure SAP Master Data related to cost controlling are accurate and up to date
Financial Systems
Proactively identify and drive through efficiencies and quality improvements with respect to capturing, analyzing and reporting financial data.
Work with Dx Industrial Finance team in the plants and IT teams to ensure systems are configured to meeting the changing structure of the business unit
General
Support Dx Industrial Finance initiatives and actively participate global Industrial Finance meetings
Continually improve the quality of support provided by the Dx Industrial Finance function
SAP experience

MBA / Master Degree in Finance; proven experience in lieu of Master degree is accepted

Equivalency
Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
Pay Scale
The estimated pay scale for the Cost Controlling Manager Diagnostic Finance role based in Emeryville, California is $150,201.25 to $187,751.25. Additionally, the position is eligible to participate in up to 15% of the company bonus pool. We offer a wide variety of benefits including, but not limited to: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, up to 5% 401(K) match and tuition reimbursement. Currently, the first year PTO accrual for this role is 120 hours per year. Then, after completion of 365 days of employment PTO accrual for this role will increase to 160 hours per year. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on education, experience, skillset, knowledge, where the role is performed, internal equity and market data.
