Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Custom Cabinet Maker I to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about woodworking and eager to learn. Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Select and prepare materials such as wood, plywood, and veneers according to project specifications.
• Accurately measure and cut materials using saws, routers, and other woodworking tools.
• Follow detailed drawings and blueprints to assemble cabinet components.
• Use hand tools and power tools to assemble cabinet parts, including joining, gluing, and nailing pieces together.
• Sand, stain, and paint cabinets as required, ensuring a high-quality finish.
• Inspect finished cabinets for defects and ensure they meet company standards and client specifications.
• Make adjustments to ensure precision and quality of finished products.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain and clean tools and equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Collaborate closely with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
• Communicate effectively to address any issues or discrepancies during production.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your cabinet-making skills.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, techniques, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical Degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience with woodworking tools and machinery.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
