Development Operations Coordinator

Position Description: As the member of the Development Operations team, the Development Operations Coordinator provides administrative support to the Development Department including supporting Salesforce administration, gift entry, special events, and other organization initiatives. This role will also support the Sr. Data Manager in leveraging data across the organization to drive decision-making processes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance reporting on our impact. This role reports to the Sr. Data Manager and frequently works in collaboration with the Sr. Donor Relations Manager and the VP of Development Operations.

Key Responsibilities: 

Gift Management and Fundraising Administration

  • Manage gift processing for all donation types—checks, online giving, employee giving, etc.
  • Support Development Team email marketing and fundraising efforts using Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement
  • Support maintenance of online fundraising pages using Classy
  • Provide support for Development Team events throughout the year as needed.

Salesforce Administration

  • Serve as a Salesforce resident expert and secondary administrator; support Salesforce database configuration, security, maintenance, integration with other apps, management of user credentials, user experience, staff training, and support for all departments. Learn from two certified Salesforce Administrators on staff.
  • Provide Salesforce reporting and dashboard support for the Development Department, including but not limited to mailing lists, event registrations, volunteer reports, fundraising reports, and revenue projections.
  • Help design, develop and maintain reports for grant reporting utilizing Salesforce and Power BI.
  • Support data visualization projects highlighting Atlanta Habitat’s impact and outcomes measurements
  • Help test and troubleshoot new and existing process automations and Salesforce integrations.

Data Administration

  • Merge duplicate records in Salesforce and develop an ongoing process to manage duplicate contact and account records
  • Update historical data in Salesforce in ensure historical data completeness for grants, real estate, and homeowner services needs
  • Help identify and address data quality issues and create data integrity reports
  • Support online form administration to ensure accurate data collection in Salesforce

Requirements

Job Conditions: 

  • The position is full-time, minimum 40 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend work required.
  • The Development Department works a flexible hybrid schedule, alternating between remote and in-office days.
  • This position is classified as exempt.
  • The Development Operations Coordinator reports to the Sr. Data Manager and is a member of the organization’s Development Operations Team.
  • This position is subject to a criminal and credit background check and drug and alcohol testing.
  • The position is expected to use discretion and independent judgment in carrying out his/her responsibilities and to represent the organization in a professional, knowledgeable and collegial manner at all times.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in database administration.
  • Previous nonprofit work experience, including fundraising responsibilities, preferred.

Skills

  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Experience with database management required. Experience with Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI preferred.
  • Strong organization and time management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional customer service skills and able to work well with a diverse group of staff, donors, volunteers, board members, and other stakeholders.
  • Must be flexible, able to take initiative, and work independently.
