Robert Half has a corporate client who is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager of Communications/Communications Strategist to lead internal and external communication initiatives for the Chief Technology & Sustainability Officer who leads technology, innovation, sustainability and a new business unit. This role will play a critical role in enhancing employee engagement and driving the visibility of our sustainability efforts. The ideal candidate will excel in managing a wide range of communication activities, executive-level support, and leadership collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Communications:
• Develop and execute comprehensive internal communication strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Write and distribute organizational announcements, newsletters, and leadership messages.
• Lead quarterly virtual Town Halls, including logistics and content.
• Oversee the management and content strategy of the company’s intranet to ensure timely, engaging, and accessible information.
• Create a cadence of updates to celebrate achievements, milestones, and culture.
• Manage and execute employee recognition programs.
External Communications:
• Plan and execute communication campaigns to amplify external brand visibility and support the client’s thought leadership and sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate with marketing to ensure alignment with client’s brand and voice.
Executive Support:
• Create compelling executive presentations for internal town halls, board meetings, and external engagements.
• Manage C-suite travel itineraries, ensuring seamless coordination and alignment with business priorities.
• Serve as a trusted communication advisor to the CTO & CSO.
• Organize and maintain the executive team’s calendar and staff-related initiatives to maximize productivity.
Sustainability and Speaking Engagements:
• Develop and coordinate external sustainability-related speaking engagements for senior executives.
• Draft and refine messaging, presentations, and materials to effectively communicate the company’s sustainability efforts.
• Liaise with event organizers, partners, and media to ensure successful execution and representation at events.
Team and Stakeholder Management:
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support communication needs across the organization.
• Foster collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of messaging and priorities.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of professional experience in corporate communications, internal communications, or a related discipline.
• Proven ability to craft engaging and effective messaging for diverse audiences.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation development skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience working with C-suite executives and managing confidential, high-stakes communications.
• Familiarity with sustainability communications and external speaking engagement coordination.
• Proficiency with LinkedIn, SharePoint, Poppulo and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams).
