Job Description:

This position, Electronics Technician III, supports the Life Cycle Contractor Support for the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Capability Instrumentation System (JPMRC-IS) program under the Army TADSS Maintenance Program (ATMP) at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. JPMRC-IS operations support the Army s USARPAC mission: to provide realistic joint and combined arms training focused on developing soldiers, leaders, and units of the United States military for success on the 21st century battlefield. This experience includes capabilities of many of the world’s best systems integration and engineering in the technical integration of live, virtual and constructive (LVC) training support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), troubleshoot and isolate faults
• Use spare/repair parts to repair faults IAW technical guidelines
• Research and select repair parts needed
• Enter work order data in the on-line management information system (MIS)
• Apply basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve problems by interpreting manufacturers manuals or similar documents
• Take test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, and oscilloscopes
• Provides services during non-standard duty hours.
• Conducts daily and routine maintenance, recommended manufacture modifications and customer requests on all equipment and produces a daily report.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 -5 years of experience with electronics testing/troubleshooting
• Able to obtain US passport
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid driver’s license and Post driving privileges
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• Ability to perform duties in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind and rain)

DESIRED/PREFERRED:

• 2 year Associate’s Degree in electronics or combination of education and experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Security Clearance requirement:

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.
