ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Installation/general maintenance of HVAC and/or Refrigeration equipment
  • Diagnose and repair problems
  • Provide service in a variety of commercial settings

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree or certificate in HVAC/R or equivalent experience
  • EPA Certification for handling refrigeration
  • PLT license or registered with the state as a Registered Unlicensed PLT; OR ability to apply for Registered Unlicensed PLT within 90 days of start date
  • Ability to work efficiently given time constraints, extreme weather conditions, varying customer needs and demands, and back-log constraints.
  • Valid drivers license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
  • Mechanical ability and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and without direct supervision
  • After hours/on-call service availability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient in use of computer programs and technology related to the position
  • Interest and initiative in maintaining HVAC and Refrigeration skills through a combination of self-study, workshops, on the job training and other development activities

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to climb up an down a ladder carrying tools, equipment, and/or parts in a safe manner
  • Ability to lift up to 100lbs as necessary and up to 50lbs repetitively
