What you’ll do:

As a Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Manager you’ll take on the role of a key strategic financial partner, leading financial planning and driving financial performance for one or multiple Lines of Business (LOB) or functional areas. You’ll provide strategic financial insight to senior leadership.

  • Provide in-depth analysis of financial trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Enhance and implement financial models to drive business insights.
  • Lead the development, preparation, and analysis of annual budgets, long-range financial forecasts, periodic forecasts, and strategic business plans.
  • Provide financial analysis, modeling, and reporting to support business initiatives, investment decisions, and operational improvements across all levels of the organization.
  • Partner with business unit leaders, executives, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust financial guidance and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and legal requirements, industry standards, and internal controls relating to financial reporting and disclosure.
  • Drive process improvements in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to increase efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial planning and analysis concepts, industry best practices, and changing regulations.
  • Contribute to strategic projects, including mergers and acquisitions, capital planning, and business transformation initiatives.
  • May supervise a team of financial analysts and/or managers.
  • May require up to 25% travel to various sites, meetings, or conferences as business needs dictate.

What you’ll need:

  • 7+ years of related experience in Financial Analysis, Accounting, Finance (GL Mgmt., Public Reporting, Analysis) or similar field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required; Masters or MBA in related field preferred.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience managing teams in a finance, accounting, or relevant commercial banking environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis concepts, including budget development, forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario modeling.
  • Knowledge of financial systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with expertise in Microsoft Excel (e.g., advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, macros, and dashboarding).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) or AI prompting is considered an asset.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to present complex financial information to executive audiences and stakeholders.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting materials to boards of directors, audit committees, or senior executive teams.
  • Commitment to ethical conduct, professional integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
