GENERAL PRODUCTION WORKER $19/HR TO $23/HR

Job Description

The role involves working in the assembly area using hand and power tools to produce wooden displays. You will begin in the production area focusing on standardized displays and gradually take on more custom work as you demonstrate proficiency. The job includes reading blueprints and work orders to accurately assemble displays and eventually performing free-hand cuts and table saw operations independently.

Responsibilities

• Assemble displays using hand and power tools based on blueprints or work orders.
• Collaborate with full-time employees and work independently in individual cell stations.
• Learn and adapt to the processes and standards of the organization.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation for safety.

Essential Skills

• Proven ability to use hand tools and power tools such as hammers, drills, and table saws.
• experience with custom wood working, including at least 2-3 years in the field.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow work orders.
• Demonstrated capability to cross-train in multiple areas and a team-first mentality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Able to articulate thought processes and project strategies from start to finish.
• Open-minded and willing to learn new processes.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean and organized warehouse, divided into individual production cells and connected to the storage area. The warehouse is climate controlled, providing a comfortable working condition. You will need to be aware of forklift traffic and maintain safety by keeping your workstation tidy. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St Paul, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 – $31.00/hr.
