Human Resources Administrative Specialist

Location: Office of State Courts Administrator, Jefferson City, MO

We are recruiting to fill an Administrative Specialist I position to perform advanced clerical and administrative work for management, professional and technical staff. Work involves a variety of tasks such as referring important problems to appropriate personnel, relieving the program manager of operating details, and composing routine correspondence.

  • Human Resource duties which includes: scheduling interviews; monitoring the human resource email box and responding to emails or forwarding to the appropriate HR analyst; making entries into SAMII Human Resource System; and assist with onboarding process for new employees.
  • Receptionist duties which includes: Greeting visitors; answering and routing telephone calls; prepares documents and letters; schedules meetings and arranges travel.
  • Facility and purchasing duties which include: Maintaining schedule for conference room reservations; maintaining schedule for fleet vehicle reservations; preparing purchase orders as requested for nameplates, business cards, and plaques; and reviewing and reconciling vehicle logs and gas receipts.

Minimum qualifications

Graduation from high school or GED equivalent and 2 years of professional experience involving full time work in a closely related field.

Additional experience above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.

Preferred qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, systems and equipment.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with judges, court personnel, coworkers and staff from other agencies.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail.
