Job Description:
As an HR Generalist you will be working directly with and reporting to the HR Manager. HR requires strict confidentiality, and strong attention to detail. Duties would include routine Team Member interactions, on-boarding/training assistance, payroll processing, interview scheduling, and ADP data entry. Jetseal’s HR dept. works as a closely integrated team where together we support Jetseal’s business needs, while being advocates for great culture, teamwork, and always improving the interaction between employer and Team Members.

Essential functions

- Coordinate all aspects of onboarding for new and contract Team Members, including:
- Recruiting efforts and candidate communication
- HRIS (ADP) data entry
- Orientation facilitation
- Timeclock setup and badge creation
- Initial benefits enrollment
- Track and maintain compliance training records using the QT9 system.
- Profile setup for Team Members
- Support payroll processes:
- Time & attendance reconciliation
- Tracking fringe benefits
- Administer and assist with human resource programs, including:
- Compensation, benefits, and leave administration
- Disciplinary processes and investigations
- Performance and talent management
- Employee recognition, morale initiatives, and training/development
- Provide courteous and professional employee relations support, escalating complex issues appropriately.
- Assist with company events, open enrollment, job fairs, and departmental meetings.
- Serve as backup to the HR/Safety Manager in safety-related responsibilities.
- Perform general filing, documentation, and HR administrative support.
- Take on additional administrative duties as assigned.
Supervisory responsibilities
- None
Required education
- Associates level degree, HR or business focus desired (bachelor’s preferred)
- SHRM/PHR certification and/or willingness to quickly obtain preferred
Preferred Skills and experience
- 1+ year in HR or related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proven time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Analytical thinker with solid problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (ADP preferred)
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems. ADP experience preferred
