Job Title: HVAC Installer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanic to support commercial construction projects with a focus on equipment installation, rooftop curb assembly, and light ductwork. This role requires hands-on experience with HVAC systems, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC units and components on commercial job sites, including rooftop units (RTUs) and split systems.
• Assemble and set rooftop curbs in accordance with project specifications and structural requirements.
• Perform light ductwork installation, including layout, cutting, and sealing of sheet metal.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation manuals.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in sheet metal work.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with HVAC systems installation.
• Skilled in using hand tools and power tools.
• Experience in construction and ductwork.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must have 2-3+ years of experience in the HVAC trade performing installations on commercial projects.
• Must have own hand and power tools (impacts, wrenches, saws, drills).

Work Environment

This is a Monday to Friday shift from 7am to 3:30pm. The work is conducted onsite at a school project located in the Southside of Richmond, VA.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 – $32.00/hr.
