TITLE: Janitor B

position OBJECTIVE: To maintain a clean environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma, GED preferred.
  • One-year experience in housekeeping/janitorial work.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job- related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPOSIBILITIES:

  • Empty the trash
  • Clean tables, seats and shelves
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Clean sinks, toilets, urinals, walls
  • Clean microwaves
  • Fill paper towel and toilet paper dispensers
  • Clean mirrors and windows
  • Dust
  • Clean refrigerator when needed
  • Sweep stairs
  • Vacuum
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

  • Primary work assignments are in an inside-office environment, however from time to time may require exposure to the following environments on a minute basis.
  • Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions not necessarily temperature conditions.
  • Inside and outside environments would apply, may involve walking from one building to another.
  • Subject to noise, causing reason to shout to be heard above the noise level.

AUTHORITY / DECISION MAKING:

  • Housekeeping decisions.

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONIC DEVICES & SOFTWARE:

  • Floor buffer/stripper
  • Safety glasses, gloves, and other PPE
  • Vacuum
