Lead Finance Analyst in WEST DES MOINES, Iowa

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Finance Analyst to join the Branch Banking Distribution Finance team supporting Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB). The Distribution Finance team provides centralized financial analysis and business case development for Branch Distribution, ATM network, Technology Investment and Branch Equipment-related activities that involve significant capital commitment (i.e. de novo, relocations, closures, lease renewals, technology investments, branch refurbishment, divestures and purchase/sales of WF branch locations across the United States) and is responsible for clearly explaining the financial impact on the P&L of all distribution programs and investments. This position requires strong communication and financial technical skills with ability to analyze data developing business insights, metrics and/or presentations that drives strategic decision making.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the budget and forecast process for Branch Banking Occupancy programs inclusive of DeNovo, consolidation, relocation, refurbishment, and asset preservation programs.

  • In partnership with the business, develop a multi-year view of the financial impacts of the various physical distribution programs as part of strategic planning process.

  • Contribute to building understanding of Occupancy expense spend and the impact of distribution program decisions on the annual budgeted spend.

  • Support leadership in developing, forecasting of financial metrics, operating and strategic reviews.

  • Leverage transformational technology to lead automation and process efficiency initiatives for Branch Occupancy Expense analysis and reporting.

  • Collaborate with key partners to source and analyze data to facilitate the review of Occupancy expense drivers and develop financial forecast assumptions.

  • Work with leaders and other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives.

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 5+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking skills with intellectual curiosity with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of PowerBI, Alteryx, and/or other transformational applications.

  • Experienced in SharePoint design and maintenance.

  • Ability to synthesize complex findings and communicate results to Finance leaders.

  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities under pressure.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting.

  • Certified Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Professional (FPAC) certification preferred
