THE ROLE:

RTG (Radeon Technologies Group) Architecture team in Folsom, CA is passionate about developing next-generation GPU solutions. As a Machine Learning/ HPC Architect, you will collaborate with a strong architecture and design team on developing next generation products for data centers and super-computers. You will engage in architecture exploration, modeling and analysis of ML/HPC workloads. Through your experiments and analysis, you will provide valuable insight into new and emerging hardware and software technologies and MI line of products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate and collaborate with a network of experienced architects and designers around the world.
• Identify complex technical problems, break them down, summarize possible solutions
• Work with architects to propose innovative solutions that can be implemented in HW, validated by developing various models/simulators
• Collect/summarize data or simulation results for consumption by architects and design teams

PREFERRED experience:

• GPU architectures, basic knowledge of CPU architectures
• Network on Chip (NOC) and interconnects
• ML networks, Tensorflow/Pytorch
• Graphics/Compute APIs (CUDA/OpenCL/Vulkan etc.)
• OS/device drivers is a plus
• Experience in C/C++/Scripting (Python, etc.)
• HW/RTL/SystemC experience

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Undergrad degree required. Bachelor of Science, Masters, or PhD degree with emphasis in Electrical Engineering, Computer architecture, or Computer Science with relevant experience preferred
