Salary: $18.00/HR
Machine Operator: Do you want to work for a destination company that specializes in global parcel handling across the world? Are you mechanically minded, quality oriented and love to build things? This machine operator job is just for you.
Machine Operator Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate production machines to perform a variety of repetitive processes such as drilling, cut-off, punching, forming, burring, deburring, resistant welding and tumbling
- May involve close tolerances
- Perform daily/weekly maintenance on production machines
- Responsible for inventory accuracy
- Assist with product assemblies as needed
- Participate in Continuous Improvement and Suggestion System as required
- Maintain high level of WPO (Workplace Organization)
Schedule & Pay:
- 1st shift 6:30am-3:00pm; Monday – Friday overtime is voluntary
- $18.00/HR
Machine Operator Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience setting up punch presses, cut off saws and drill presses
- Basic Blueprint reading
- Additional metals machine or resistance welding education desired
- Must be able to work with micrometers, calipers, height indicators and other measuring equipment
- Must have a good mechanical ability
- High school diploma
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent organizational skills and a mindset for continuous improvement
