The Manager Development and Community Relations is responsible for planning, developing, executing and maintaining a comprehensive fundraising program for the hospital foundation. In addition, the director is responsible for management, coordination and compilation of grant inquiries and applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

education, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field and 3 years of relevant experience in organizational development and community relations OR Associate’s Degree in business administration or related field and 5 years of relevant experience in organizational development and community relations OR High School diploma and 10 years of relevant experience in organizational development and community relations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Bachelor’s Degree

2. Master’s Degree

3. Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE)

EXPERIENCE:

1. Healthcare resource development experience.

2. Established record of success in individual, corporate and foundation outreach and gift acquisition.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1. Creates and implements annual development plan and strategy.

2. Analyzes giving history/trends assessing donor capacity and evaluating current fundraising initiatives.

3. Serves as the primary contact with past, current, and potential new donors regarding fund development and procurement

4. Develops and oversees all fundraising initiatives including direct mail, major gifts, capital campaigns, prospect research, special events, grant management and planned giving.

5. Ensures transparent stewardship of donations.

6. Develops and executes annual operating budget for department

7. Prospects, cultivates, and manages new accounts.

8. Manages the coordination and compilation of grant inquiries and applications.

9. Oversees the completion of financial reports to funders.

10. Identifies and establishes new sources for grant funding.

11. Monitors grant expenditures to ensure compliance with sponsor regulations.
