Join Spherion’s team as a Manufacturing Technician.

position will assist our chemistry and engineering group in the development and production. This laboratory-based position involves working on the final stages of the assembly process. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to assist in the production team and to carry out experiments and analysis.

Responsibilities:

Follow SOPs and work instructions to support the production and development programs.

Systematically improve upon existing processes through thoughtful experimentation to generate knowledge and optimize the performance.

Perform final stages of production.

Understand and document lab-scale processing and work with the team to characterize materials and evaluate failure mechanisms, document the findings in reports.

Effectively communicate ideas and results internally across multiple teams

Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a dynamic team.

Understand the practical use of statistical tools and data analysis/reporting software

Assess safety and environmental impact of equipment and processes

Ensure all aspects of an operation or process meet specified regulations

Develop or optimize processes in order to meet product specifications

Be able to operate, clean, and maintain all work-related process equipment and instrumentation

Practice 5S methodology for shared workspace

Committed to continuous learning and self-improvement

Working hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Skills:

High School Diploma or higher

Hands-on experience with instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.

Experience in quality control methods used to evaluate the repeatability of assembly processes is desirable, not required.

Aptitude for quickly mastering new technologies and self-improvement

Proactive problem-solving driven by curiosity and attention to detail

Exceptional communication skills and collaboration abilities

Strong data analysis and data-driven experimental-design skills

Knowledge of chemistry (organic, polymer, inorganic), electrochemistry and materials science and related characterization techniques would be preferable

education:

High School

Experience:

1-4 years

Qualifications:

2-3 years of warehouse or laboratory experience.

Experience in machine operating
